International trailer for Prometheus

Now that I have seen the newest trailer for The Dark Knight Rises I felt the need to share yet another amazing trailer I saw today. This, boys and girls, is the new international trailer for Prometheus. And it is fucking awesome.

So... who wants to see Prometheus? *raises hand*

Trailer #3 for The Dark Knight Rises

Holy shit, guys.

This is going to be amazing. I am so happy this was posted now. This means I can remain calm during the trailers before The Avengers.

Something you should read

You might not know this, but there is a musician out there that is quite amazing. Her name is Amanda Palmer. You can find her on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. Listen to her music and then click the link below. Read her birthday blog.

I pledged, or "backed" as Kickstarter calls it. Will you? Everyone at least has $1 and has the right to listen to some bomb music.

New posters for Snow White and the Huntsman

Just to say, this poster featuring Charlize Theron is one of the best I have seen in a long time.

There are also a couple new ones featuring Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth.

The Lucky One - Review

The Lucky One is the newest book adaptation from Nicholas Sparks where a Marine travels to find the girl in a photo he found while serving in Iraq. He believes the photo is what kept him safe through the war.

I don't think The Lucky One is as bad as critics are making it out to be. I read through some reactions on various websites and people are just having a field day with this one. For a Nicholas Sparks movie it was better than some others we have had and overall wasn't all that bad. As far as Sparks goes, this one is in my top 3 behind The Notebook and A Walk to Remember.

Do I think certain parts were rushed? Yes.
Do I think certain things could have been explained better? Yes.
Do I think the female lead was miscast? Yes.
Did I think most of Zac Efron's lines sounded like a Hallmark card? Yes.
The list does go on and on if you really want it to. However, you must remember that it is what it is. It is a sappy, romantic Nicholas Sparks story with a general weak plot and a hot male lead. Did The Last Song really have a strong plot with tremendous acting? Hell no. Was Dear John a miraculous movie with a solid script? No. For some reason it works with the target audience every time and people should just stop getting mad about it. Romance movies have a formula and filmmakers stick to it. Boy meets girl. Boy and girl fall in love. Something causes a rift in the relationship. Boy leaves to make girl happy. Girl goes running back to boy to kiss and live happily ever after. Period. End of story. Accept it for what it is.

I enjoyed it overall. For a romance movie it wasn't a bad one. I also enjoyed Zac Efron's biceps.
And yes, I cried. I haven't made it through a Sparks movie without crying yet.

Henry Selick to direct The Graveyard Book

Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline) has been brought on by Disney to direct the upcoming adaptation of Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book. There is no release date set but this is the second pairing of Gaiman and Selick with the first being Coraline in 2009.

I personally love Neil Gaiman and I absolutely love The Graveyard Book. I suddenly want to read it again.

Carrie reboot could be filmed found footage style

MGM CEO Roger Birnbaum dropped some hints at University of Denver this week (about 25 min from me ffs) about upcoming MGM projects including the Carrie reboot starring Chloe Moretz in the title role. Apparently the reboot might be filmed in a found footage style either fully or partially.
If you don't know what found footage is, it basically is the element of a found home movie. Most scenes are done in one cut and have more of a documentary feel to them. Many recent movies have used the format such as Chronicle, Paranormal Activity, Cloverfield, Quarantine, REC, The Last Exorcism, Apollo 18, Project X, etc..

Um... the fuck? I understand they are trying to modernize it but I don't really see how this is possible. Unless by modernizing they are going to use the element of cell phone cameras during the prom scene, or something. I don't know if I like this.

Kristen Stewart signs onto an action movie

I saw this and I just couldn't resist.

Kristen Stewart has signed onto a movie called Cali which will feature her as Mya, "half of a con-artist couple looking to make some serious cash." The plot line is this...

Their plan is simple though deeply twisted. They decide to make a snuff movie with Mya as its seemingly ill-fated star. Ultimately, the killer flick is a hoax that nets them major bank, but forces them to fake her death and flee town. Surprisingly, their plan works great. The problem comes when the little sister Mya left behind needs help. Now, Mya and her boyfriend Chris must return to California and confront "angry former business partners, homicidal porn stars, stoner vet tech, [and] an unstoppable killing machine in a cowboy hat," all while dealing with the emerging issues in their relationship.

The brainchild behind this one is Michael Diliberti, aka the guy behind 30 Minutes or Less. I personally hated 30 Minutes or Less so I am a bit afraid of Cali. But at the same time I think the plot sounds quite interesting. I'll have to wait and see who else is cast besides Kristen Stewart. They are looking to hire a director in hopes to start production later this year. I assume that means it will be released at some point in 2013.

Snow White and the Huntsman sequel in development

Universal is already developing a sequel to the upcoming film Snow White and the Huntsman starring Kristen Stewart as Snow White and Charlize Theron as the evil Queen Ravenna. The film opens in the US on June 1st.

Personally... I feel like they should have waited to make this announcement until the movie is released. It shows both extreme confidence and arrogance on Universal's part. It's all well and good to think your film is going to do well and have a strong opening, but I wouldn't put all my eggs in one basket when there is still more than a month until the first one is even released.
I guess they are also comfortable with the fact that their actors are willing to sign onto yet another possible franchise. Kristen Stewart has Twilight, Chris Hemsworth has the Marvel movies centered around Thor, and Sam Clafin is involved with Pirates of the Caribbean.  I don't mention Charlize Theron because I have a feeling she gets killed in Snow White and the Huntsman but I suppose you never know for sure.

With all that said, however, I am excited for this movie. The more TV spots and trailers I see the more excited I have gotten. I also think the Florence + The Machine song is great.

Skyfall trailer to play before Men in Black 3

Just fyi. The first trailer for the new James Bond film, Skyfall, will premiere before Men in Black 3. MIB3 is set to open on May 25th.

Scarlett Johansson not returning for Iron Man 3

With the additions of Guy Pearce, Jessica Chastain, and Ben Kingsley I guess Scarlett Johansson felt there was no room left for her character in Iron Man 3. The rumor is that she has a scheduling issue with Iron Man 3 and Hitchcock.

With that said, I am not ruling her out completely. Late reshoots are always a possibility and it all depends on how Black Widow pans out in The Avengers, so we will find out soon enough.

MTV revamping the Movie Awards format

I'll admit it, I usually watch the MTV Movie Awards every year. Although I must admit the last 3-4 years have been a bust due to the high popularity of Twilight and Harry Potter. Good movies always get ignored because of the Jersey Shore loving teenage girl crowd that MTV has. MTV president Stephen Friedman states,
"We want to make sure some of the unexpected, smaller, quirkier films have a chance."
In the attempt to do that, MTV is introducing "Academy voting" where directors and other people in the industry vote in categories. They are also introducing new categories and getting rid of some classic categories that have been around for a while.

New categories:
Best On-Screen Transformation
Best Music
Best Gut Wrenching Performance
Best Cast
Best On-Screen Dirt Bag

Retired Categories:
Best Villain
Best Scared as Shit Performance
Best Jaw Dropping Moment
Biggest Badass Star
Best Line From a Movie

MTV veteran Jesse Ignjatovic is also involved in this revamp of the show. His involvement is seemingly bringing the music back to the show. However, he stated...
"It’s not just about bringing more music to the show. It’s about integrating music and movies.”

Personally, I feel that the MTV awards shows in general have turned into a joke for the most part. The same movies and actors win every year and like I mentioned above, so many good movies get ignored and shafted when they don't deserve to be. Shows like this should try to introduce independent film to different audiences and give them something they might not have heard about or seen otherwise. That's what I would do. I guess it's pretty much a given for me to watch it this year just to see the changes in action. The 2012 MTV Movie Awards airs on June 3rd.

Jessica Chastain may join Iron Man 3

It is being tossed around that Jessica Chastain may be joining the cast of Iron Man 3. Her rumored role is a rival scientist to Tony Stark. Chastain originally was set for the film but was canned due to scheduling issues. The movie that caused her to drop Iron Man 3 has been postponed so it looks as though she will be able to be the scientist after all.

I personally like Jessica Chastain so this could be a fun addition to the cast.

Breaking Dawn Pt. 2 teaser poster surfaces

I personally don't give a fuck about Twilight but I know a lot of other people do. For those who do care, the first teaser poster for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 has surfaced and it looks like this...

The poster was displayed at this year's CinemaCon in Las Vegas and it looks almost identical to the teaser poster for Breaking Dawn Part 1. In other words, it looks like yet another bad Photoshop project. The main difference is the one for BD1 was like a sunset.

The Dark Knight Rises to have 60+ minutes of IMAX footage

The Wall Street Journal has reported that the upcoming Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, consists of over one hour of IMAX footage. By IMAX footage I mean scenes shot with the IMAX technology.

This is exciting.

Official run-time for The Dark Knight Rises?

An Australian cinema website has posted a run-time for The Dark Knight Rises and they are pegging it at 2 hours and 40 minutes.

There have been rumors circulating around that the film will be 3 hours long, or somewhere in that ballpark, so seeing a 2:40 run-time doesn't really surprise me. If I remember correctly The Dark Knight was about 2 hours and 30 minutes so it's nothing unheard of, especially for a Christopher Nolan film. Inception was long, too. Either way I will be seeing this movie. I'll do what I did before The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and dehydrate myself 2-3 hours prior to going to the theater so I don't have to step out.

Michael Bay to buy Halloween franchise?

It appears that Michael Bay's company, Platinum Dunes, is most likely going to purchase the Halloween franchise. With this news means that Bay will most likely be making yet another horror reboot or whatever regarding Halloween's killer, Michael Myers. It appears that if it isn't a full on reboot it could be a continuation of Rob Zombie's 2007 reboot and its sequel, but knowing Bay he will give us yet another shitty reboot similar to A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Am I excited about this? Fuck no. I fucking hate Michael Bay.

Guy Pearce joins Iron Man 3 cast

Shortly after Ben Kingsley was announced to play the villain in Iron Man 3, we now know who will play Aldrich Killian; the geneticist responsible for the Extremis serum. It is none other than Guy Pearce!

I am personally a big fan of Pearce so this excites me. I can't wait for a third Iron Man movie. As long as it's better than Iron Man 2 I will sleep better.

Iron Man 3 is set to be released on May 3, 2013.

Francis Lawrence offered Catching Fire's director chair

Out of the contenders to direct Catching Fire, the sequel to The Hunger Games, it seems as though Lionsgate has chosen their director. This doesn't look like it's 100% confirmed just yet but it appears that I Am Legend and Water for Elephants director Francis Lawrence will direct Catching Fire.

I'm not upset about this. I was hoping for Cronenberg but this isn't a bad choice. I say bring it on.

Sin City 2 cast announcements!

It has been announced that Mickey Rourke and Rosario Dawson will be returning for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, the upcoming sequel to Sin City. Dawson will be reprising her role as Gale and Rourke will be reprising his role as Marv.
The confusion right now, for me, is whether Clive Owen will be returning to play Dwight. As the article states, the plot for A Dame to Kill For has Dwight as the protagonist but he has a different face. The question now is, bring back Clive Owen and cover him in make-up or use CGI or recast Dwight entirely? Recasting Dwight doesn't sit well with me but you never know. It might be the best thing.

Silent Hill: Revelation 3D coming this Halloween

The release date for Silent Hill: Revelation 3D has been set for 10/26/2012.

I am personally not excited about this. I hated the first Silent Hill and was pissed to hear more were being made. A big "no thanks" from me.

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride movie being planned

Disney is planning a live action meets CGI film for Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, based on the popular ride at Disneyland which opened in 1955. The ride is based on The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame. This movie apparently already has Pete Candeland set to direct but no other announcements have been made.

Let me start by saying that I love Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. It is my favorite ride in Fantasyland at Disneyland and is one of my favorite Disney rides overall, but is this really necessary? I don't know how many people have seen the cartoon version of Mr. Toad that Disney released in 1949, but it is fantastic. It is obviously an older animated film but it is seriously great. If you haven't seen it, the feature combines the stories of Mr. Toad from The Wind in the Willows and Ichabod Crane from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. It is on DVD and titled The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. I watch it at least once a year and have been doing so since I was a kid. Must they update and/or ruin everything? Damn son.
Disney has already announced the movie for the Sleeping Beauty villain, Maleficent, which will star Angelina Jolie in the title role, we have already had four Pirates of the Caribbean movies with a possible 5th at hand, and they are also planning a movie based off the Matterhorn Bobsleds ride that will focus on the Yeti. A movie based on an animatronic Yeti you see for about two seconds while you are on the Matterhorn Bobsleds? Fucking hell.

I love you Disney, but why?

More directors for Catching Fire added to the list of possibles

Two more directors have been added to the list of potentials for Catching Fire, the upcoming sequel to The Hunger Games. As I previously posted, the three directors who are already being considered are David Cronenberg, Alfonso Cuarón, and Alejandro González Iñárritu. Now we must add in Bennett Miller and Francis Lawrence.

Miller:
Moneyball
Capote

Lawrence:
Water for Elephants
I Am Legend
Constantine

They are really throwing out some good contenders for this movie, ffs. I liked both Moneyball and Capote, but I also really liked Water for Elephants. At this point I think I would be fine with any of the 5 contenders so far... but I am still kind of hoping for Cronenberg. =^D

The Dark Knight Rises to have a novel

Titan Books has announced they will release the corresponding book to The Dark Knight Rises the same day the movie is released on July 20th. The book is being written by Greg Cox who has written novels for Ghost Rider, Daredevil, and the Underworld movies. The exact plot points for both the movie and the book are being kept under wraps so we will have to still wait a while to find out, but July isn't too far off at this point.

Personally I think this is pretty badass. Batman books in general are awesome to read so I will definitely be picking this up. However, I will definitely be seeing the movie first. No doubt about it.

Julianne Moore in talks for Carrie reboot

It has been reported that Julianne Moore is in talks, and possible negotiations, to play Carrie's mother in the upcoming remake of Carrie. If you didn't know already, Chloe Moretz has been cast to play Carrie White.

Honestly, this is a bit odd for me. I love Julianne Moore, don't get me wrong, but I don't know if I can quite picture her as Carrie's mother. I had heard rumors that both Sissy Spacek and Jodie Foster were being tossed around and that kind of excited me. I would have loved to see Sissy Spacek come back as the mother. Oh well. Moore hasn't been 100% confirmed yet so this still could change.

What do you think? Do you like the idea of Julianne Moore as Carrie's mother or not? If you don't, who would you want to see cast?

http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Julianne-Moore-Talks-Play-Carrie-Mom-Horror-Remake-30452.html

The Hunger Games wins the box office again

24 days later it is still #1 in the US.

1. The Hunger Games ($21.5M)
2. The Three Stooges ($17.1M)
3. The Cabin in the Woods ($14.8M)
4. Titanic 3D ($11.6M)
5. American Reunion ($10.6M)

To go with this news, The Hunger Games has now passed $500 million worldwide and approximately $375 million domestically and $200 million overseas. I can only imagine what Catching Fire is going to rake in at the box office... and I bet you anything Breaking Dawn Part 2 won't make shit in comparison come November.

The Cabin in the Woods - Review (non-spoiler)

If you have not seen The Cabin in the Woods all I have to say is, go see it! Do not let people spoil this movie for you. I repeat; DO NOT SPOIL THE MOVIE. Go see it for yourself.
If you want a basic non-spoiler plot, basically 5 friends go for a weekend retreat to an isolated cabin. When they get there they unleash something that is more than they could have ever imagined or guessed.

As cheesy as that sounds that is all I'm willing to give you for the moment. I want you to go see this movie whether you are a horror fan or not, but especially if you are a horror fan. It's a basic horror film, for the most part, up until the last half hour or so. Shit hits the fan and it hits it hard... and I loved every second of it. I still am processing what I saw.

Bradley Whitford and Richard Jenkins are great. Their characters are priceless. And the pothead friend. He is the best character in the whole movie. Not to mention the end credits plays "Last" by Nine Inch Nails. That made the end even more awesome.

This Friday the 13th has been great so far. I got good news at work, I got off work early, and I saw an amazing movie. I think you could make your 13th, or your whole weekend, better by seeing The Cabin in the Woods. It doesn't have a 93% standing on Rotten Tomatoes and a 7.7/10 on IMDB for nothing.

Looper teaser trailer released

This movie looks like it's going to be awesome.

Sin City sequel finally happening!

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For has been confirmed and is set to begin production this summer in Austin, TX. Casting hasn't been announced just yet but it is rumored Rosario Dawson, Michael Clarke Duncan, Mickey Rourke, and Michael Madsen will be returning.

I have been waiting for a sequel to Sin City so I am fucking stoked.

Carrie release date set

We will have the newest reboot of Carrie in less than a year. The release date for the remake is set for March 15, 2013. As I have previously posted the lead role will be played by Chloe Moretz and it will be directed by Kimberly Peirce.

One thing I want to know about as casting begins to role out... cameos? I would love that.

http://bloody-disgusting.com/news/224625/carrie-burns-down-theaters-march-15-2013/

Catching Fire director possibilities already being discussed

Of course this has to happen soon due to the fact that filming for Catching Fire begins this fall.

With that said, the names that are already being tossed around are David Cronenberg, Alfonso Cuarón, and Alejandro González Iñárritu.

Cronenberg:
Cosmopolis
A Dangerous Method
A History of Violence
The Fly

Cuarón:
Children of Men
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
A Little Princess

González Iñárritu:
Biutiful
Babel
21 Grams

Personally, out of these choices I would prefer David Cronenberg but I would be alright with Alfonso Cuarón as well. I haven't seen any of the movies that Alejandro González Iñárritu has directed so I am a bit biased in not choosing him, but if you haven't seen anything then you haven't. I think that is fair.

Gary Ross will not direct Catching Fire

Gary Ross has officially stepped out of the director's chair for Catching Fire, the upcoming sequel to The Hunger Games.
This is kind of sad. The way it sounds is that he feels they are rushing the movie a bit with the 2013 release date. Maybe he was hoping for 2014.

The Simpson's hometown of Springfield is in...

Oregon.

According to the show's creator Matt Groening has revealed that the town of Springfield in Oregon, approximately 100 miles south of Portland, was the basis of his characters and the town they live in. I wouldn't have guessed Oregon so that was a bit of a surprise for me.

Maleficent release date set

Maleficent, the live adaptation for Disney's Sleeping Beauty, will be released on March 14, 2014. The film will star Angelina Jolie as Maleficent. So far this is the only casting announcement we have, that is confirmed, but it is rumored that Elle Fanning is up for the role of Princess Aurora (aka, Sleeping Beauty). I guess we shall see.

Ben Kingsley in negotiations for Iron Man 3

It seems that our villain for Iron Man 3 will be played by Ben Kingsley. He is in final negotiations to play an unannounced villain. Jon Favreau had been setting up the villain to be Mandarin but this new news kind of contradicts that and says Mandarin is basically out of the picture and will not be played by Kingsley.
Production is set to begin this May in North Carolina with Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, and  Scarlett Johansson reprising their roles from Iron Man and Iron Man 2.The third installment of Iron Man is set to be released in May 2013.

Another shameless plug for The Hunger Games

As I mentioned before, my buddy Cameron created a forum for The Hunger Games trilogy and we're trying to build up the membership. It's free and will be a lot of fun once we get some more members. If you are a fan of either the books or the movie, or both, come on and join. We don't bite.

The goal is to try and build it up similar to what House of Jigsaw was for the Saw franchise. That is actually how I met Cameron was through HOJ. We had VIP members on HOJ from the Saw franchise (James Wan, Darren Bousman, Leigh Whannell, Peter Outerbridge, Betsy Russell, etc.) and the other goal is to try and get VIP members from The Hunger Games. Cam is already trying to snag Jennifer Lawrence and we're trying to get some smaller characters as well. Hopefully once Catching Fire gets rolling we'll be able to build it up a bit more.

So please guys, if you want to discuss some Hunger Games with us come on and try it out. Hell, come and talk about anything with us. We have a subforum for general discussion. Once we get more members we will probably add some more subforums similar to what HOJ had (music, other movies, etc.). Don't be shy. =^D

American Reunion - Review

I will be the first to say that I was honestly excited for another real American Pie movie. Not the shitty direct to DVD ones about band camp, but a real movie. I am a big fan of the American Pie films (aka, American Pie, American Pie 2, and American Wedding) and was the most excited to see the full cast reunite once more.

With that said, I wasn't all that disappointed. It was a little raunchier than American Wedding was, and kind of unnecessarily so, but the nostalgia was definitely there. They brought back jokes, songs, pictures, yearbooks, and characters that I didn't really expect. The only semi-important cast member that didn't return was Jim's mom and they played it off as her passing away three years prior to the reunion. Stifler's brother and Kevin's brother didn't make cameos either. A list of returning characters, to the best of my memory:

Chris Ostreicher (aka, Oz)
Jim Levenstein
Michelle Levenstein (aka, Michelle Flaherty the Band Geek)
Kevin Myers
Paul Finch (aka, Finch)
Steve Stifler (aka, the Stifmeister)
Vicky
Heather
Jessica
Jim's Dad
Stifler's Mom
Milf Guy #1
Milf Guy #2
Chuck Sherman (aka, The Shermanator)
Nadia

The basic plot is the "old gang" returns for their 13th reunion (they compensated for not releasing the movie in 2009 this way). Jim and Michelle are still married with a 2-year old son, Oz is an on-air sports guy who recently participated in a show similar to Dancing with the Stars and has a crazy Hollywood girlfriend, Kevin is married and is a stay at home architect, Finch claims to be a world traveler, and Stifler is a temp office assistant at an investment firm. Vicki is still in New York City and Heather is working at a hospital after completing medical school and is dating a cardiologist. At the actual reunion is where you see the brief (and yes, they are very brief) cameos from Sherman, Jessica, and Nadia. Sherman married, had a child, and got divorced. Jessica is now a lesbian and brings her girlfriend with her to the reunion. Nadia catches Jim and Michelle having sex in the band room and is with a boyfriend who resembles Jim.

Overall I feel like it did a good job of bringing you up to speed on who the characters became after high school and college. I think the middle of the movie was a basic waste of time because it focused on Jim trying to avoid his now 18-year old neighbor Kara who is trying to have sex with him because she always had a crush. Jim and the guys crash her birthday party on the lake and she tries to have sex with Jim once she is drunk but he sneaks her into her house with the help of Stifler, Oz, and Finch because he wants to stay loyal to Michelle. That all felt kind of forced, but it followed the basic pattern of the movies. In American Pie we had the internet broadcast with Jim and Nadia, in American Pie 2 we had the lesbians making Jim, Stifler, and Finch make out and Jim supergluing his hand to his dick, and in American Wedding we had the dance off between Stifler and the gay men and Jim shaving his balls and then dumping all the hair into the A/C. In this one, we had Jim's fiasco with his underage neighbor.
The beginning and the end were the best parts of the movie. What I always liked about American Pie was how they balanced the humor with the serious moments that actually had a message. This one didn't fall short. Jim still got the advice from his dad about keeping his marriage alive after having a baby, Oz and Heather reconciled, Kevin and Vicky finally made peace, Stifler realized that it was time to grow up and stop trying to re-create high school, and Finch came to terms with the fact that his life isn't what he intended it to be. I really liked how it ended. It did, unfortunately, leave it open for a 5th movie but I don't think they will go for it. The actors are all a little old at this point and it showed, especially Chris Klein and Jason Biggs. They look a good 10 years older than the characters are supposed to be.

So yeah, it wasn't bad. At least for what it was. It's an American Pie movie.

Universal president admits to making shitty movies & hopes for new direction

Last year the president & CCO of Universal Pictures, Ron Meyer, admitted to his company making shitty movies. Meyer has now come out and clarified what he meant by shitty movies, after citing movies like Cowboys & Aliens and Land of the Lost:
"we make some good movies and some shitty movies. Nobody ever sets out to make a shitty movie.”
Along with the clarification, Meyer has also expressed his interest in making a sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman (despite still having two months until it is released) and making more Dr. Seuss movies including a new animated version of The Cat in the Hat. He also is not a fan of 3D so that gives me some hope.

Personally, I would be down for a new version of The Cat in the Hat. The one with Jim Carrey was such a piece of shit. As far as other Dr. Seuss stories go they have already done The Lorax, How the Grinch Stole Christmas (another shitty Carrey flick) and Horton Hears a Who, so I don't know what they might think of after The Cat in the Hat. Maybe an adaptation of Gerald McBoing Boing?

Saw at Sea... I am fucking loling.

Yes. I am "at it" again. However, I am trying to help you guys. Don't go on this cruise. Find something better to spend your money on. If you have bought a package already, get the refund before it is too late. If you haven't bought yet, don't waste your time. Just remember this...

"Raybin Management, LLC and Boca Raton Travel & Cruises reserve the right to deny admission to any person (s) of our choos-ing from taking part in any and/or all “SAW at SEA” Cruise activities."

That could be you for any or no reason.

This is amazing. Props to my friend Kiley for sending me this

Titanic 3D - Review

I am not reviewing the movie. It is Titanic. We have all seen it. If you haven't seen it, crawl out from the rock you have been living under and read a plot synopsis... or go see it. Either one.

I want to talk about the 3D. I am not a fan of 3D but I must admit that this is one of the best 3D features I have seen, especially for a post-converted film. James Cameron really knows his stuff. The scenes where the ship is sinking looked fantastic. I was really pleased.
I also want to mention how incredible the sound remaster was. The sound effects and overall sound design was great. My ears were in a very happy place.

I would say if you are a Titanic fan to go ahead and see this one in 3D while it's still in theaters. It's one of those movies that is meant to be watched in a theater. Watching it at home just isn't the same.

X-Men: First Class sequel pushed to January 2013

Due to scheduling conflicts with the upcoming "it" girl Jennifer Lawrence, filming of the sequel to X-Men: First Class has been pushed to January 2013 as she will be filming the sequel to The Hunger Games this fall. Lawrence is reprising her role as Mystique in the X-Men film and is also reprising the role of Katniss Everdeen in Catching Fire. After much speculation it was also confirmed that Matthew Vaughn will return to direct the X-Men sequel.

Along with filming approaching for both of these films she is also busy with promo for The Hunger Games along with upcoming promo for a new film, The House at the End of the Street. Jennifer Lawrence is indeed a busy gal.

Gary Ross drops out of Catching Fire

This move I don't really understand, especially after the tremendous success of The Hunger Games. I just hope they get someone who knows what the fuck they are doing for both Catching Fire and Mockingjay.

RIP Kurt Cobain

18 years of mourning and it still isn't enough.

Rest in peace, Kurt. Thank you so much for what you gave the world while you were here.

Captain America 2 set for April 2014

The sequel to last year's film Captain America: The First Avenger has an official release date, as of right now. It is set to be released on April 4, 2014 and will take place after the events of this year's film, The Avengers. There is no plot yet but apparently...

"Steve Rogers continues his affiliation with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world."

I liked Captain America so I am pretty excited. I can't wait for The Avengers next month.

Wiig, Sudeikis, and Samberg to leave SNL?

Is has been said that Kristen Wiig, Jason Sudeikis, and Andy Samberg will be leaving Saturday Night Live after this season is over.

If this is true then SNL will be hurting for a long time. The only reasons I tune into SNL from time to time is to see the Digital Short segments and to see the skits Kristen Wiig does (Gilly, Target Lady, etc.). I don't really care about Sudeikis leaving, but Wiig and Samberg... man, that's a huge blow.

Universal to "reboot" The Mummy... what the fuck?

Yes, you read the title correctly. Universal is in the planning stages of a reboot of The Mummy. The story was last revisited when Stephen Sommers made the 1999 film with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz. A film that is, without embarrassment, one of my favorite movies.

Do I think this is ridiculous? Yes. Especially with the fact that the last Mummy movie, Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, was only released not even 4 years ago. It's just more proof that Hollywood has absolutely no new ideas whatsoever. As if we didn't know that already.

Fan made poster for Carrie... it's pretty awesome

A fan made poster for the upcoming Carrie reboot, which will star Chloe Moretz, has already surfaced. I have to admit, for a fan made poster this is pretty awesome. I think it would be cool to do something like this for a teaser poster.

So what's the verdict for you? Cool ot not cool?

The Hunger Games - the forum

My friend Cameron just started up a forum for The Hunger Games. I'm already there and posting. Come join us and bring a friend! And if you spam I will personally cuss you out. Just fyi.

Fun Fact: Cameron's girlfriend was an extra in the movie.

Dumb & Dumber sequel confirmed

By confirmed I mean "moving along." Both Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are returning and it apparently starts filming this fall.

I don't know what to say about this one. I am genuinely speechless, haha.

Not an April Fools joke... sadly, haha.

I was on my Facebook and noticed one of my friends had sent me this bit of fine print about the upcoming Saw at Sea cruise:

"Autographs/Autograph Tickets of the “SAW” stars are not included in any Cruise package. They can be purchased onboard.
Raybin Management, LLC and Boca Raton Travel & Cruises reserve the right to deny admission to any person (s) of our choosing
from taking part in any and/or all “SAW at SEA” Cruise activities."

In case you didn't know, I kind of made an enemy out of Raybin Management after the 2011 Texas Frightmare Weekend. Here is my video in regards to the whole weekend, and in regards to Raybin Management: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FU8RQ039hX0

Why am I mentioning this? I bet you anything they included that clause specifically to stick it to both myself and a few others from HOJ that completely trashed Raybin Management after TFW '11. The funniest part about this is I bet he would still let anyone he would ban from the events buy a cruise package. It is such cheap shit, lol. I'm tempted to send him an email asking if I am one who would be banned.

He is such an asshole, haha. He fails to notice that we think, and have thought, this is funny.
If you are a Saw fan, don't go on the cruise. He has the lowest rate actors from the franchise as guests, the events are stupid, it's overpriced, and you go from New York City to Nova Scotia, Canada... seriously, who gives a rat's ass?
