Marcia Wallace, who famously voiced Mrs. Krabappel on The Simpsons, has passed away at the age of 70. Wallace also starred on The Bob Newhart Show. She would have been 71 next week.
She won an Emmy for her vocal skill on The Simpsons in 1992 and had been called a brilliant talent by show producer Al Jean. She appeared on over 100 episodes of the animated show as Bart's fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Krabappel.
Wallace also had several appearances on television over the years including spots on ALF, Full House, Bewitched, Taxi, and Murphy Brown.
RIP, Marcia. Thank you for giving me my favorite teacher.
