We can put the casting rumors for Harry Osborn aside. Dane DeHaan (Chronicle) has been confirmed for the role via Marc Webb's Twitter account. This comes shortly after Shailene Woodley (The Descendents) was confirmed for the role of Mary Jane Watson. Filming for The Amazing Spiderman 2 is set to take place early in 2013 so it is ready for the May 4, 2014 release.
I still haven't seen The Amazing Spiderman, but I am comfortable with this casting. DeHaan was pretty decent in Chronicle despite it being a fairly shitty movie overall.
