MTV announced the nominations for the 2012 Movie Awards. I'm doing this just because I mentioned the new format last week or the week before.

My picks, of course, are in red. The categories that don't have a pick mean I really don't care.
The one thing that made my bones happy was seeing that Twilight only got two nominations. I think this is a good sign of what is yet to come. Kristen Stewart got shafted for Best Female Performance, as she should. and both Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner didn't get Best Male Performance. This will force the teenage girls to actually vote for someone who did a good job. Well, kind of. Channing Tatum was nominated ffs.
To my surprise, I didn't pick The Hunger Games for anything. I loved it but I feel like it is too new to even include in this. There are movies that are already a year old included here.
