It has been announced that Alan Ritchson (Blue Mountain State, Smallville) and Bruno Gunn (also credited as Bruno Gioiello) have joined the cast of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Ritchson has been cast as Gloss, a former victor from District 1, while Gunn has been cast as Brutus, a former victor from District 2.
Like what I did with my post about the casting of Enobaria I will do brief summaries of both Gloss and Brutus. However, they include spoilers about both Catching Fire and Mockingjay so if you haven't read the books and intend to only watch the movies don't click the jump and read on.
So... meet Gloss' short-lived story:
Gloss was a career tribute from District 1 and won an unspecified Hunger Games.
He represented District 1 in the Quarter Quell alongside his sister, Cashmere.
He was killed during the Quarter Quell by Katniss shortly after killing Wiress.
And now meet Brutus:
Brutus was a career tribute from District 2 and won an unspecified Hunger Games.
Shortly after winning the Hunger Games he became a Capitol mentor alongside Lyme, a fellow District 2 victor. It is thought that he could have been a mentor for Cato, Clove, and Enobaria.
He volunteered for the Quarter Quell.
He was killed during the Quarter Quell by Peeta and was the last to die before Katniss destroyed the arena.
Movie news, movie reviews, and basically whatever else I want to talk about. Come on in and join the party.
