Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed that he will be playing the Terminator in the upcoming fifth installment of the Terminator film franchise. Other news is that filming is apparently going to start in January.
Now this comes after Terminator: Savlation (2008) with Christian Bale and Sam Worthington was pretty much a failure and after fans hoping Arnold would come back as a human character and not as the Terminator. Another concern is about his age. Having him in Rise of the Machines was pushing it and that movie is already 10 years old. Paramount also had tapped Justin Lin to direct but he chose to do Fast and Furious 6 instead. However, seeing that filming isn't going to start for another 6 months they could potentially bring Lin back.
