Leaving on a jet plane...
Off to Dallas in the morning for Texas Frightmare Weekend. I am so excited. I don't even have the words right now.

Feeling quite random today
I'm off to Texas one week from today for Texas Frightmare Weekend (FUCK YEAH!)
I sometimes think I cuss too much... meh, oh well.
I so cannot wait for Thor to come out. It's probably unhealthy.
I'm in a fashion show at work tomorrow and I don't really want to do it, but at the same time I want to do it. It'll be alright. We get 50% off whatever we wear.
I want another tattoo already... or two or three.
I want warmer weather already. I am tired of sweatshirts and hoodies.
I can't decide which shoes to wear to work today. Damn it.
I don't know why I am so random today. It's not even 9:30am yet and my brain is running at 100mph.

Thor is kicking ass
And it doesn't come out until May 6th.
It's currently sitting at a 90% critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes with 96% saying they "want to see." For a movie that isn't out yet that is pretty damn good. Not to mention it's a superhero movie.

Scream 4
LOL
Seriously... I laughed through that whole movie. I was kind of surprised that I actually enjoyed it, though. Nowhere near the best Scream movie but it was enjoyable enough. Who knew Emma Roberts had that in her?

Mildred Pierce on HBO
Thumbs up. Seriously.
The fact that they did a 5 part mini-series in 3 weeks was a little exhausting because they crammed together 1 & 2 and 4 & 5, but I loved every minute of it. Kate Winslet is still as lovely as ever and hot damn does Evan Rachel Wood play a good villain. I don't know if you should necessarily call her character, Veda, a villain but I am going to anyway. I wanted to beat the shit out of that character pretty much throughout the two parts she was in (4 & 5). I'm disappointed Veda wasn't grown up for 3 parts instead of just the last two. She is that good. The girl they had playing Veda in the first 3 parts got the job done, too.
It was just wonderful. I love HBO.

Your Higness... lulz, kind of.
I went and saw Your Highness on Friday night with one of my friends. It was funny enough to say I didn't feel like I wasted money, but after sitting on it a couple days now it really wasn't all that good. A lot of the jokes fell flat, James Franco's character was really whiny and annoying, Danny McBride was funny but it was the same joke the whole time, and Natalie Portman's character they keep hyping as this badass, vulgar warrior was not only not that vulgar but she wasn't in the movie much. She came in about halfway through and even then just kind of popped in and out and hardly had any dialogue. She was more wandering around shooting arrows at things.
Funnier than Pineapple Express, but almost anything is funnier than Pineapple Express.
Bring on Thor, tbh. I am ready.

We've officially been trolled by American Idol
So... you mean to tell me, or try to, that Jacob Lusk, Casey Abrams, and Paul McDonald are better than Pia Toscano? HOW IN THE FUCK DID THIS GIRL NOT GET PAST THE TOP 9?!
She was never off key. She never missed a note. She never, ever picked a song that didn't suit her voice. So what if she isn't jumping around the stage every week. That isn't who she is. She hit notes that we thought were only possible for Celine Dion and Mariah Carey, FFS. Not only did she hit them but she murdered them. I just can't believe that some people on this season, specifically the three I listed above, have made it past her. People are afraid to tell all of them that they suck. Jacob shrieks every week and is flat all the fucking time, Paul sounds like an awkward 13 year old trying to sing in the shower, and Casey is a grunting creeper who tries too hard to be Joe Cocker. They are terrible. Pia is the most amazing singer I have ever witnessed in my 5 seasons of Idol thus far. I am completely in shock.
Thanks a lot for wasting the save in the Top 11 on Casey, judges. How does this one feel? Fucking idiots.

Prices of movies is getting ridiculous.
I was on Amazon and saw that Tron: Legacy is set to come out this month. However, if you want to buy the Blu-Ray prepare to drop like $50 because they're packaging it with the original Tron and including a digital copy. Not to mention a version of the film in 3D being included.
That, my friends, is lame.

I wish I had my camera
So my mom decided she wanted to finally watch Black Swan. Her face at the end of that movie was priceless. I wish I captured it on film, haha. It was a mixture of "what the fuck" and "why did she do that" and "I love the ballet."
Overall success. I had a feeling she would either hit me or walk out at the lesbian scene. All she said was, "well this is graphic." <3 you, mumsie.

Sucker Punch
I don't really know what to say about this one, tbh. It was very interesting and was a complete mind fuck. I give it credit for the visual effects, sound design, and the soundtrack, but the story itself was very lacking. However, I wasn't expecting much of a story after seeing all the previews so I can't complain too much. It was a bunch of awkward dream sequences with 5 half-naked girls shooting guns and yielding swords. That's about it.
Worth it if you like Zack Snyder, which I do, and/or if you're into that sort of thing.

Omg, I lol'd.
http://rantsthoughtsmerde.com/2011/03/26/natalie-portman-black-swan-cover-up/
Any other body/stunt double in any other film wouldn't be complaining about anything because they understand their job. It's just the fact that Natalie Portman did such a great job in the film. Sarah Lane is just coming across as bitter and desperate.
Anyone with a brain knows Natalie didn't do ALL of the dancing in Black Swan. She spent a year preparing for a role and she pulled it off. People are acting like no other actor/actress has done it before. Take a look at the prep Angelina Jolie did for Tomb Raider (weapons training, yoga, kickboxing) or what Christian Bale did for The Machinist (losing a shit ton of weight) or what Taylor Lautner did for Twilight (gaining tons of muscle to look good without a shirt) or what Jamie Foxx did for Ray (learning Braille and piano, etc.) . They are actors and their job is to prepare for the role they will be portraying. That is exactly what Natalie did and there is no reason for anyone to be bitching about it just because she won a bunch of awards for it. Sarah Lane especially. She was brought in as a body and dance double, not to be featured as a principal dancer or for Fox Searchlight to go around boasting "HAI LOOK AT NATALIE'S DANCE DOUBLE. PRAISE HER FOR DANCING EN POINTE."
Studios and productions don't boast about extras and doubles. Their job is very specific and most of them seem to be proud of what they do. If Lane wasn't happy about that then she shouldn't have taken the opportunity and let them find another Natalie look-alike out of all the women who auditioned to be extras in the film. Not to mention the fact that this really doesn't matter at this point. Black Swan comes out on DVD/Blu-Ray on Tuesday and Natalie has already won a Critic's Choice, BAFTA, Golden Globe, Independent Spirit, SAG, and Academy Award for the role. Sarah Lane is just blowing hot air to an audience that doesn't really care at this point. The only people this might sway are those who haven't seen the movie yet and/or those who didn't have a brain and assumed Natalie Portman did all of the dancing in the first place.
Complaining about it now won't make you a principal dancer, sweetie. You're just coming across as an attention whore.

Star Tours re-opening in 3D
Star Tours to re-open in 2011
I don't know how to feel about this one. Disney is one of the companies taking this 3D craze a little too far. Everything does not have to be in 3D, especially Star Tours. The moving seats is enough to give you the impression that you're actually in the ride. Not to mention the screen covers the entire wall in the room and you are fairly close to the projection even if you're in the last row.
Yes, it is kind of cool they are including more footage from the newer movies, but can you imagine a Pod Race in moving seats in 3D? They better include barf bags.

AT&T apparently buying T-Mobile
Really, really sucks. Prices on plans will go up, variety of plans will decrease, no more unlimited data plans/packages, etc.. The only advantage will be a better phone selection, but I personally couldn't give a shit about phone selection. They're phones.
How is it possible?
How is it possible to still be so tired after getting a fairly significant amount of sleep two days in a row? Definitely something I don't understand.
In other news... I really want to see Paul.
