Magic Mike XXL - First Trailer

Star Wars: The Force Awakens - First Teaser

I don't know about you, but I am intrigued.

One thing I am a bit curious about is John Boyega. If he is a Stormtrooper does that mean the clones were eliminated? Or have civilians gained the chance to join alongside the clones?
Another thing I am curious about is this Sith creature. Is it human? Is it some form of life? Either way, that lightsaber looks pretty creative.

Annabelle - First Trailer

Annabelle is not the official sequel to The Conjuring, but we have the first teaser for the horror spin-off set to hit theaters on October 3rd. It looks pretty crazy, too.

The only thing I will say, so far, is it definitely doesn't look like a prequel. It looks very modern. Either way I think this looks pretty promising. I will definitely see it.

Ouija - First Trailer

Well, I can't say I'm surprised that this looks horrible.

Ouija hits theaters on October 24th. I would expect since it's a Universal release that this will be a scare zone at Halloween Horror Nights in one or both of the Universal Studios parks. Just calling that one right now.

Big Hero 6 - Full Trailer

Full trailer for Gone Girl premieres

This movie just looks so good. Not to mention how great the score sounds already. I am so prepared.

New teaser surfaces for Mockingjay - Part 1

We are finally starting to get some teasers for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1. Today we received a message from the Capitol and President Snow. You also see a familiar face standing with him. If you read the book you will know why it makes me sad.

It's about time we started getting more than irrelevant promotional posters. I am still somewhat in shock that we haven't received a trailer yet. Give us a teaser or something! Something more than just a message from President Snow. Footage. We need footage!
But with that said, there are whispers that a teaser will premiere before Transformers: Age of Extinction this weekend, so the wait might be almost over. We will no doubt get a trailer at Comic-Con later in July, too.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 hits theaters on November 21st. Part 2 holds a release date of November 20th, 2015.

Jessabelle - First Trailer

We now see the first peek at the latest effort from longtime editor turned director, Kevin Greutert. I'm a bit disappointed that Jessabelle is PG-13, but what can you do.

If I Stay - First Trailer

I will admit this looks better than I thought it would, but even then I am debating it. The book wasn't bad but I don't think it's interesting enough to merit a movie. Kudos to them for not making the coma sequences seem too surreal, but I think the casting of Adam is way off.

Gone Girl - First Trailer

David Fincher's newest effort had its first trailer released and it looks pretty intense. By intense I mean awesome.

Guardians of the Galaxy - Trailer Premieres

I just have to say that this trailer put the biggest smile on my face. It is so James Gunn, I love it. Marvel, thank you for giving this man a chance. I think this looks great and I cannot wait to see it. It's a bummer we don't have voices for Rocket Raccoon and Groot yet, but I can wait.

Guardians of the Galaxy opens on August 1st.

The Purge: Anarchy - First trailer

I just don't see the point. The Purge sucked and this looks like it will, too. Sorry.
I can appreciate that they will actually show what it's like outside during The Purge, but I just can't get interested.

The Purge: Anarchy is set for release on June 20th.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes - First Trailer

Holy shit. Those apes look fantastic.

22 Jump Street - First Trailer

Here's to hoping you have a YouTube account because the trailer is redband.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - First Trailer

We finally have the first, CGI-filled trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. I have watched it twice now and I still just can't wrap my head around it. And that is in a bad way.

I didn't like the first Amazing Spider-Man and I think this one looks even worse. The CGI alone is just gross. It doesn't even look like a movie. It looks like a video game. Not to mention the fact that I feel like this trailer basically just gave the entire movie away.
I don't understand why they are making the same mistake Spider-Man 3 did and including so many damn villains. From what it seems we have Electro, The Rhino, Harry Osbourne/Oscorp, and potentially the Green Goblin. It's too much, even if they are saving some of them for future films. I also want to include how it appears they are skipping all possible backstory on Harry because in this trailer he looks like a creeper out to get Peter from the get go. Way to go, Marc Webb. I will be passing on this one like I did the first one. Maybe I'll watch it when it's on DVD.

X-Men: Days of Future Past - First Trailer

X-Men: Days of Future Past is set for theaters on May 23, 2014.

I personally think this trailer looks fantastic. I liked X-Men: First Class, but I think Days of Future Past already looks a lot better and more intriguing. I think the darker tone is very present and will work throughout the film. The plot follows Wolverine as his consciousness is sent back to 1973 to recruit the scattered X-Men to help fight the rise of The Sentinels, robots programmed to exterminate mutants.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire - Final Trailer

We now have the final trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. I think this movie looks better and better whenever something new comes out. I cannot wait.

[EDIT] Check out my review of Catching Fire here.

First trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier

In the sequel to 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger, we follow the Captain as he struggles to adapt to the current world and fights his moral center in regards to the moral "grey area" S.H.I.E.L.D. operates in. It also serves as a re-introduction to his wartime friend Bucky Barnes, aka. The Winter Soldier. Bucky has been engineered into a super assassin.

I think this is a great first trailer and it seems to promise a decent amount of action and conflict. It doesn't give any background to The Winter Soldier, but I'm sure this isn't going to be the only trailer we will have. I also like the new Captain America suit.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens up on April 4, 2014. It stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Redford, Sebastian Stan, and Anthony Mackie.

Need for Speed first trailer premieres

So... this is based off the video game, right? Either way I think it looks pretty ridiculous. Nothing but yet another fugitive in a race car movie with bad fire effects.

Need for Speed stars Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul, Dominic Cooper, Imogen Poots, and Michael Keaton. It is currently set to open on March 14, 2014. It is the newest movie from Scott Waugh (Act of Valor).

New trailer for Thor: The Dark World

For all the Loki buffs, enjoy this trailer. I have a feeling he won't be as big a part of this movie as the trailer suggests but you never know. It is apparently Loki's last appearance so if he goes out with a bang good for him. Apart from that I think this trailer looks great. Minus the cheesy last scene with the rock monster.
