After speculation and some casting confirmation, we have word that the fourth season of American Horror Story will indeed be a carnival theme.
While we don't have an official title yet, co-executive producer Douglas Petrie confirmed that the fourth season will be set in a spooky carnival. Co-creator Ryan Murphy dismissed early rumors of a circus theme claiming fans hadn't completely guessed the theme yet. Call me crazy, but a carnival and a circus are pretty similar when it comes down to it. He would confirm that the fourth season will follow suit of Asylum in the sense that it takes place during two different time periods beginning in 1950.
Confirmed cast members so far include Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson with Angela Bassett returning as well. All three are series vets and I won't be surprised to see more.
