If you wanted something exciting from the first official clip from Fifty Shades of Grey you might have to wait a little while longer. The Today Show revealed the clip this morning of Christian Grey surprising Ana Steele at her workplace to buy cable ties, rope, and masking tape. Kudos to them for staying true to the book, but it's boring as hell. They really are keeping the interesting stuff for the theaters.
However, Yahoo! UK is reporting that the highly anticipated adaptation, which we will receive in 11 days, contains over 20min of sex scenes. That is essentially a fifth of the whole film. They have also named it the "rudest film in a decade." Yahoo reportedly obtained the information via the adult website, Mr. Skin, in which they claim there is a total of 12 full sex scenes in the film. 12 may seem like a lot, but considering there are a total of 48 sex scenes in the book it really isn't that bad.
Director Sam Taylor-Johnson has reiterated numerous times that despite the loyal fanbase and expectations, the movie has been toned down because she didn't want it to be completely explicit. The lead actors Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson have both stated that they don't believe the film crosses into pornographic territory and that the production team acted as a whole to avoid that.
If you're "curious" you can see Fifty Shades of Grey starting on February 13th.
