Dermot Mulroney joins Insidious: Chapter 3

Leigh Whannell announced via Twitter today that longtime actor Dermot Mulroney has joined the cast of Insidious: Chapter 3. There are no character descriptions just yet, but Whannell states he will have a lead role.

I'm not embarrassed to say the first thing I thought of when I read this was, "it's Michael from My Best Friend's Wedding!" The truth is Mulroney has been acting since 1986 and has 85 acting credits to his name. He's appeared in The Grey, J. Edgar, Young Guns, and much more. He also has television credits for The Batman, New Girl, Friends, and Enlightened. I think he will be a good fit for this franchise.

Shia LaBeouf receives cease and desist letter

In addition to LaBeouf plagiarizing Daniel Clowes' graphic novel for his 2012 short film, LaBeouf has been doing much more in the past week or so. Not only was his original apology to Clowes was also plagiarized, but he has now gone to a sky-writing team and Twitter to push the matter a bit farther. LaBeouf tweeted a photo of a sky-written phrase, "I'm sorry Daniel Clowes," and managed to define what a cloud is in case we forgot.
Now he has taken to Twitter again and tweeted excerpts from a cease and desist letter Clowes' lawyer, Michael Kemp, sent to LaBeouf's attorney. The excerpts include, "your client is out of control. We have been waiting since December 27th to hear how Mr. LaBeouf intends to make it right, but all that has happened is further wrongful acts." Kemp also included the sky-writing incident was "foolishness." Kemp also proclaims that LaBeouf's actions on Twitter further violate the rights of Daniel Clowes. LaBeouf has since deleted the tweets on the manner.

I hope these people just sue Shia LaBeouf. He is proving what a moron he is. Someone needs to just sit his ass down.

Damon Lindelof leaves Twitter

Have the internet haters actually accomplished something?

TV veteran writer Damon Lindelof, mostly known for penning the J.J. Abrams show Lost, has abruptly left Twitter and deleted his account. The scribe has come under fire in recent years not only for his atrocious ending to Lost, but basic failures at the box office and with fans including Prometheus, Cowboys & Aliens, and World War Z.
Lindelof's Twitter had recently been flooded with "haters" and detractors after the series finale of Breaking Bad. Some users going far enough to tell Lindelof to take notes from the finale so he can write a decent screenplay. After his Twitter was deactivated people came out in pretty decent numbers to still mock and taunt Lindelof. One reader went to Bitter Script and tweeted, "THAT'S how @DamonLindelof ends his run on Twitter? Gotta say, I'm underwhelmed and angry. I bet he didn't have that planned from the start."
People are fairly shocked that Lindelof left Twitter. He was funny, generous with replies, and fed a lot of the trolling himself. However, he was an easy target and apparently he knew it. He also acknowledged the disappointment viewers had with Lost once tweeting, "In related news, my therapist just hit the jackpot."

I think this is hilarious. I personally find Lindelof overrated and overused and if he can't take the heat he needs to get out of the kitchen. All the guy had going for him was Lost and he pissed off the entire fanbase with the finale.
