The Walking Dead sets a new series record

The Walking Dead returned to AMC this past Sunday to finish off its third season. Now that the ratings have arrived it seems that the fans obviously had no interest in watching the Grammys.

The show shattered a previous series high in viewers setting a new record with 12.3 million viewers in the first time slot and an additional 4.3 million for the 10pm replay. The previous record was 10.3 million viewers for the season 3 premiere back in October.


Not bad for a show about zombies, eh? Season 3 is set to wrap on March 31st.

Michael Rooker returning to The Walking Dead

Yes indeed, children. Michael Rooker will be returning as Merle in season 3. We don't know specifics or how many episodes, but we do have confirmation that he is back. My guess is that he is going to be in the prison.

I just hope they don't split the season into two parts like that have done with Season 2. I understand normal breaks and in between season time but to stop a season for months in the middle is ridiculous. Here's to hoping for 16 episodes straight.
