Tom Hiddleston in talks for The Crow

After previous rumors that James McAvoy (X-Men: First Class) was up for the role of Eric Draven, we now have reports that Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers) is in very early talks for the role.

You probably know Hiddleston from Thor and The Avengers where he played the Asgardian bad guy, Loki. He also has appeared in War Horse, The Deep Blue Sea, and Midnight in Paris. Reports are suggesting they have tapped Hiddleston for his great ability to bring humanity to his characters and to evenly represent light and dark aspects. He will undergo an official screen test for The Crow, after doing a makeup test on his own in London, soon where he will fully be evaluated.

I still am not for this at all, but I can appreciate Tom Hiddleston. I think he would be a good fit both mentally and physically for Eric Draven. No one will ever be able to beat Brandon Lee, but Hiddleston would be a lot better than McAvoy.

The Crow is being pushed on by Relativity Media and will be helmed by F. Javier Gutierrez.
