Joan Rivers passes away at age 81

After being in a coma for days, legendary comedian Joan Rivers has passed away at the age of 81. Rivers suffered cardiac arrest during an outpatient procedure on her vocal chords and had been unconscious since. Health officials were in the process of bringing her out of a medically induced coma, but Rivers remained on life support.

Rivers had broke onto the scene as a guest host for The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and was also a fashion icon for red carpet shows with her daughter, Melissa, and hosted the show Fashion Police. She has been mocking her own life as well as everyone else for the past five decades and was incredibly funny. Hopefully she and Robin Williams are making people laugh wherever they are.

Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman has died at the age of 46 due to a suspected drug overdose. He was found in his apartment in New York City by an unidentified source. No confirmed cause of death has been noted, but the actor has struggled with Heroin addiction throughout his life.

He was currently filming The Hunger Games trilogy with Mockingjay Part 2 and also completed a television series titled Happyish. He previously won an Oscar and a Golden Globe in 2005 for his role as Truman Capote in Capote. He also earned Oscar nominations for his roles in The Master, Doubt, and Charlie Wilson's War.

I find this very sad. He was a great actor and it will be sad to not see him on the big screen anymore. Rest in peace, good sir.

RIP x2

Both Davy Jones of The Monkees and Conservative activist Andrew Breitbart passed this week. Both were kind of a surprise for everyone, I think.

RIP to the daydream believer.

RIP to the man who tried to open people's eyes.
