Yet another victim of the cutting floor.
It was first announced that Anna Paquin (Rogue) had been cut entirely from X-Men: Days of Future Past and that we would most likely only see her on the DVD/Blu-Ray. We now learned that Halle Berry (Storm) has also been cut. Well, at least been cut down to just one scene.
This hasn't been officially announced as Paquin's cut was, but I would assume director Bryan Singer will cite the same problem; the movie is running too long. He cited irrelevance, confusion, and running too long as reason to cut Rogue out of the movie. This comes just shy of two month prior to the release of X-Men: Days of Future Past and after all the Empire covers showcasing the new and returning mutants.
Some are suggesting that Berry's pregnancy had to do with this move in the end due to the fact that she was unable to be as active as they would have liked and there was some visibility of a baby bump. Berry has already admitted to the pregnancy limiting her movement because shooting conflicted with the timing.
All I have to say is I hope the cutting is over with. If they cut any more returning mutants I don't understand why they brought them back in the first place. Not acceptable.
X-Men: Days of Future Past stars James McAvoy, Michael
Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Omar Sy, Evan Peters, and Nicolas Hoult.
The film brings back mutants such as Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, Hugh
Jackman, and more. It hits theaters on May 23rd.
Movie news, movie reviews, and basically whatever else I want to talk about. Come on in and join the party.

Monday news for X-Men; Halle Berry confirmed to return
Couple things for X-Men: Days of Future Past today.
1. Halle Berry has been officially confirmed to return to reprise the role of Storm. It was rumored before but now it's official. This also adds to the speculation of which role Omar Sy will be playing. The guess is he will play Bishop who is pretty closely tied with Storm. There is no telling how much screentime Storm will have or in what situation she is returning at this time.
2. Jennifer Lawrence doesn't have to worry about being painted blue from head to toe this time around. It was revealed that Mystique's look will be a body suit this time around. The suit will cover Lawrence's body from the neck down. The change is evidently due to the time it took to apply the makeup to Lawrence (8 hours a day) and also the fact that she broke out in rashes and boils due to the makeup.
So yeah... Storm is returning and Mystique will be a suit.

Omar Sy joins X-Men: Days of Future Past
Omar Sy (The Intouchables) has joined the cast of X-Men in an unspecified role. Rumors are already circulating, of course, about which role Sy has been cast in. Some suggest he will play Bishop, the son of Aborigine mutant refugees with a distinctive "M" brand on their foreheads. Bishop also was present in the Days of Future Past comic arc and was intertwined with Storm. Since Halle Berry has pretty much been mentioned as returning as Storm it is plausible that Bishop will be a part of the movie.
The French born actor has a pretty extensive resume but a majority of his work is in French film and television. I haven't ever seen or heard of him before, so it's always nice to have a fresh face.

All CG characters teased for X-Men: Days of Future Past
Director Bryan Singer is beginning some teasing regarding X-Men: Days of Future Past. Not only is Singer teasing us with potentially doing full CGI for one or two characters but he is also not quite sure whether Halle Berry will return as Storm or if Storm will appear at all.
Regarding the CG characters Singer had this to say to MTV when asked about the current technology:
Interesting.
Now, regarding Storm's return he basically said he wasn't sure if he wanted to use the character or not. He confirmed that each returning character plays a vital role in the story, but he isn't quite sure where Storm fits into the mix.

"A CG Nick Hoult or a CG Ewan McGregor, maybe 20 years from now might be perfect, but it’s a little tough on the eyes when it’s not real. I definitely want to use this technology again, and I might even be using some of it in a different way in X-Men. I don’t want to say how, yet, but I’m definitely using some of this technology on X-Men, which I never used in any of the other X-Men films."
Interesting.

“I can’t say. I don’t know yet. And it’s not necessarily a deal making aspect at all. I want to make sure it’ll make sense. But I love working with her.”
