Rob Zombie has announced his return to the horror genre by teasing a poster for a project titled 31. I wasn't aware he had left the genre, but there we have it.
The title evidently is a reference to Halloween night which falls on October 31st every year (duh) and that is all we have. Zombie claims this film is for hardcore horror fans who want things nasty and brutal.
Zombie is no stranger to horror at this point as he has directed six horror films along with a couple short films and an episode of CSI: Miami. As far as filmmaking goes, he seems to be most known for his 2007 reboot of Halloween which starred horror alums Malcolm McDowell, Brad Dourif, and Danielle Harris along with Zombie's wife, Sheri Moon Zombie.
It was recently announced that Zombie, along with Bret Easton Ellis, would direct a television series about Charles Manson murders of 1969. His task is to create a multi-part series leading up to the murders told from different points of view.
