Ouija set for October release

Universal has set a release date for their upcoming horror film based on the board game, Ouija. The film will be released on October 24, 2014. The plot apparently follows a group of friends who unleash a dark, ancient spirit of the board.

Ouija stars Bates Motel alum Olivia Cooke alongside Douglas Smith and Bianca Santos. It is being put forward by Universal and Platinum Dunes along with Blumhouse and Hasbro. And just putting this out there, I am betting there will be an Ouija themed maze at Halloween Horror Nights this year. Universal doesn't skip a beat with promoting this shit.

The Purge 2 receives a new title

Let The Purge 2 now be known as The Next Chapter of The Purge.

Yes, Universal has picked an extremely stupid title for their fast-tracked sequel to The Purge. The sequel is currently in production as they aim for a June 20, 2014 release date. The film stars Frank Grillo, Michael K. Williams, Zach Gilford, and Carmen Ejogo.
Returning are writer/producer Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions, James DeMonaco, and Platinum Dunes partner Michael Bay.

I personally hated The Purge, so I am not excited or looking forward to The Next Chapter of The Purge. I thought it was a great concept they flushed down the toilet with weak characters, a lacking plot, and a severe lack of detail.

Michael Bay to buy Halloween franchise?

It appears that Michael Bay's company, Platinum Dunes, is most likely going to purchase the Halloween franchise. With this news means that Bay will most likely be making yet another horror reboot or whatever regarding Halloween's killer, Michael Myers. It appears that if it isn't a full on reboot it could be a continuation of Rob Zombie's 2007 reboot and its sequel, but knowing Bay he will give us yet another shitty reboot similar to A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Am I excited about this? Fuck no. I fucking hate Michael Bay.
