The upcoming Netflix series, Daredevil, has added a new addition to their cast. True Blood veteran Deborah Ann Woll has been cast in a female lead role of Karen Page. She joins Charlie Cox, Elden Henson, Vincent D'Onofrio, and Rosario Dawson.
Karen Page is the most notable and long-time love interest for the blind hero, Matt Murdock. In the comics, she and Murdock go through quite a few make up and break up situations and she is ultimately killed by Bullseye. She also shared her love with Murdock's close friend, Foggy Nelson, and had traded her secretary job for acting after Murdock revealed his alter-ego to her.
Thought she was cut from almost the entire theatrical cut, she was portrayed by Ellen Pompeo in the 2003 adaptation of Daredevil with Ben Affleck and Colin Farrell. Woll is a television veteran at this point and is no stranger to fantasy. She's appeared in all seven seasons of HBO's True Blood and has had small roles on The Mentalist, Law & Order: SVU, and CSI. She's also starred in films such as the remake of Mother's Day, Ruby Sparks, and Seven Days in Utopia.
Movie news, movie reviews, and basically whatever else I want to talk about. Come on in and join the party.
