In addition to a schedule shift for Fantastic Four, we have some other release date shifts:
Fantastic Four is moving from March 6, 2015 to June 19, 2015. Originally the film was rumored for 2014, so this one has shifted a lot already. Josh Trank (Chronicle) is still directing. This now puts the film on the same weekend as Disney/Pixar's Inside Out and one week after Jurassic World. Seeing that Fantastic Four has yet to have any solid casting, aside from Miles Teller apparently playing Reed Richards, a delay was expected.
Assassin's Creed, starring Michael Fassbender, has shifted from June 2015 to August 7, 2015.
Paul Feig's new spy comedy, Susan Cooper, will open on May 22, 2015. The film will star Melissa McCarthy and is set to open three weeks after The Avengers: Age of Ultron and directly aside Tomorrowland.
The Secret Service has shifted from 2014 and will take Fantastic Four's old spot of March 6, 2015. Matthew Vaughn is directing this graphic novel adaptation of a Mark Millar story. Colin Firth and Samuel L. Jackson are attached to star.
Movie news, movie reviews, and basically whatever else I want to talk about. Come on in and join the party.
