Poster for The Amazing Spiderman released

I will admit this is a pretty cool poster. I still think the movie itself looks dumb as hell, though.

Hollywood is officially... officially out of ideas

Because Lionsgate announced they are planning to remake American Psycho. I remember when people didn't remake movies that weren't like 15-25 years old. Fucking hell.

Evil Dead reboot gets a release date

April 12, 2013

That will be such a shitty day.

I hope St. Louis enjoyed the Series

They won't be getting there again any time soon.

I read this morning, and you can too, that the Cardinals traded their star 1st baseman Albert Pujols to the Los Angeles Angels. He signed a 10-year contract worth between $250 and $260 million dollars.

Holy shit.

Now what does this mean? The NL just had some weight lifted off their shoulders, specifically the NL Central, because Pujols will now be in the AL. Other than that it means the Cardinals are a bunch of idiots. If you have a good player who is also a decent fan favorite keep him around. I am laughing.

Patty Jenkins leaves Thor 2

I wonder what exact "creative differences" prompted Jenkins to leave. The bigger question now... who will be brought on to direct now?

Pepsi runs in the family

Who wants to support my cousin Travis for his Pepsi Refresh idea? He's looking to use it as his project to reach Eagle Scout. Super cool kid so you should vote for his idea. I am confident he will get it done and do it well.

Good luck, cousin!

Thanks guys.

I just have to share

This had me in tears last night. I hadn't laughed that much in a while.

And fuck...

This has just been a depressing week.

Christopher Nolan released the list of theaters participating in the Dark Knight Rises prologue screening before Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol... and there isn't a single theater in Colorado participating. Not only that but apparently there might be a new Dark Knight Rises trailer, along with a teaser for The Hobbit, before Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. I'm sure theaters here will do that but with one minor problem; I have absolutely no desire to see Sherlock Holmes.'ll

Three strikes all at once. I'll go cry now in my city that should do shit like this but never does. If theaters in Iowa and Nebraska are screening the prologue why can't we do it here in a major city? Here is the full list of participating theaters:

I'll just leave you with this photo.

I am more upset with Hollywood than ever right now.

First I see the remake of Evil Dead is official and now I learn they are remaking Starship Troopers. Hollywood needs a serious make over. Is there anyone with an original idea, ffs?

6 track sampler for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

http://www.nullco.com/GDT/usd.php

Go and get the free sampler now. The full score is available for pre-order as well. I'm not going to pre-order. I'll just go ahead and buy it when it is available like I did with The Social Network's score.

These two make amazing music. I can imagine the film and I haven't even seen it yet. I love it.

Coming to terms... maybe.

I started thinking about this Evil Dead remake bullshit and it got me thinking, who would I cast if I had the authority? Finding a new Ash is going to be a nightmare in reality and even in a dream it's rough. You can't replace Bruce Campbell but here goes...

Ash: I would go with someone a little lower on the Hollywood scale. Maybe not a total unknown but someone who isn't front page news 24/7. Maybe someone like Kyle Gallner, Aaron Johnson, Dave Franco, Darren Criss, or Jim Sturgess. Out of those I think Franco would be the best choice, as of right now. Ash is a badass but he is such a tender guy who means well.

Cheryl: Evan Rachel Wood, hands down. I would be real interested in what she could do with this one.

Linda: Jennifer Lawrence would be an interesting choice. So would Kristen Stewart, oddly enough. Main reason I mention Stewart... Linda gets her head chopped off, tee hee.

Scotty: Marshall Allman.

Shelly: Emily Browning, Scout Taylor-Compton, Emma Bell... Shelly is such a small character it doesn't even matter.

I would choose younger people because that's how the first one was. Remember how young Bruce Campbell was? I think it's better to have a younger cast too because it will better accommodate the no doubt ridiculous dialogue Diablo Cody will present.
Still not happy about it but if it's going to happen then at least have a decent cast... ffs.

Iron Man 3 needs over 1,000 extras

Damn son. If I was an actress I would go for it.
