The Amazing Spider-Man 2 may get a new title

We are expecting the first full trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 later on this week, but some other countries have already received some trailer teasers. Along with seeing Spidey flying around New York, we got a possible subtitle for the film as the trailers have the title The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro.
Now, this doesn't mean the US will get this title. Movies will have different titles depending on the country of release quite often, so it is possible that certain international releases will have the Rise of Electro title attached while some won't. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the official title winds up having the subtitle. It seems to be the current trend to have a subtitle for comic book sequels. I think the only recent exception is Iron Man as that character kept the sequential Iron Man 2 and Iron Man 3 titles.

CBM has the teaser trailers that are absolutely nothing to get excited about. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters in 3D on May 2, 2014.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has new images

And Electro still looks really stupid to me.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters next year on May 2, 2014. It will also be in 3D.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 headed to Comic-Con

Hall H is starting to get pretty full. We now have confirmation that Sony is presenting The Amazing Spider-Man 2 at San Diego Comic-Con. There will be a panel consisting of Andrew Garfield, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, director Marc Webb, and producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmec.
Back in 2011 while promoting the first Amazing Spider-Man film, Andrew Garfield shocked the audience when he appeared dressed as Spider-Man and gave a speech about his love for the character.

Other news regarding Sony's plans for Comic-Con include a detailed peek and panel for Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 along with a panel for the upcoming remake of Robocop. The panel for the animated film will feature Anna Faris, Terry Crews, and directors Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn. The panel for Robocop will feature Joel Kinnaman, Abbie Cornish, and Samuel L. Jackson.

Cameron Diaz joins Annie

Cameron Diaz has joined the new adaptation of Annie as Miss Hannigan. The role was originally offered to Sandra Bullock but she passed on it. Diaz will play the eccentric orphanage owner who gives her orphans, including Annie, a hard knock life.
Whenever I think of Miss Hannigan I think of Carol Burnett, so Diaz certainly has some big shoes to fill with this one.

So far we have Oscar nominee Quevenzhane Wallis set in the title role of Annie and Jamie Foxx set as the Daddy Warbucks character, Benjamin Stacks. Jay-Z and Will Smith are on as producers and Will Gluck is directing. Annie is set to hit theaters on December 25, 2014.

Jamie Foxx in talks for Annie

Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained) is reportedly in talks to join Quevenzhane Wallis in the upcoming reboot of the classic musical Annie. Foxx's character, if he secures the role, will be Benjamin Stacks. Stacks is a "variation" of Daddy Warbucks and is a hint to a stack of $100 bills.

The name is stupid to me along with Jamie Foxx being considered. Then again that could just be because I'm not really a fan of his to begin with. He annoys the hell out of me.

First look at Jamie Foxx as Electro

I don't love this. Not really.

In case you are clueless, this is the first image of Jamie Foxx as Electro in the upcoming sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The film also stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Shailene Woodley, and Dane DeHaan. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set for release on May 2, 2014.

Jamie Foxx in villain talks for The Amazing Spiderman 2

Jamie Foxx is in talks to play the villain in The Amazing Spiderman sequel. Which villain? None other than Electro... apparently.

When Shailene Woodley was confirmed for the role of Mary Jane Watson there were rumors circulating about who the main villain will be in the sequel. We heard rumors of Electro and I guess that was justified. This should be interesting.

First trailer for Django Unchained

I wouldn't necessarily call myself a big Quentin Tarantino fan, but I do enjoy his work from time to time. Kill Bill Vol. 1, Kill Bill Vol. 2, Inglorious Basterds, and Reservoir Dogs are all brilliant films and it looks like Django Unchained could join that list.
