David Cronenberg's new film Cosmopolis starring Robert Pattinson has gotten a US release date. It appears that it will be released on August 17. 2012 in New York City and Los Angeles. Apparently it will expand to other cities soon after.
We are getting Cosmopolis a little late in comparison to the UK and Canada who both get it this month. It has also already premiered at Cannes 2012 and in a few other countries.
I am looking forward to seeing Cosmopolis so hopefully there will be a way for me to see it. I usually miss films like this because of the lousy city I live in.

Don't bother. It's awful, just awful, the story line and the acting (like a librivox audiobook). I haven't disliked a film this much in years. To watch it a second time would lose out to cleaning sink and bathtub drains of long hair and gunk, if I had the choice. Save these moments of your precious life and avoid Cosmopolis.
