Thumbs up. Seriously.
The fact that they did a 5 part mini-series in 3 weeks was a little exhausting because they crammed together 1 & 2 and 4 & 5, but I loved every minute of it. Kate Winslet is still as lovely as ever and hot damn does Evan Rachel Wood play a good villain. I don't know if you should necessarily call her character, Veda, a villain but I am going to anyway. I wanted to beat the shit out of that character pretty much throughout the two parts she was in (4 & 5). I'm disappointed Veda wasn't grown up for 3 parts instead of just the last two. She is that good. The girl they had playing Veda in the first 3 parts got the job done, too.
It was just wonderful. I love HBO.
